Guidelines for Open Lab Hours

  1. All BIOL 211 lab safety rules apply to open lab hours. Review this section of the syllabus prior to attending open lab hours.
  2. Return the lab space to how you found it – Clean up after yourself and store your materials as instructed. Remember other people are using this space, not just us. Be respectful of their needs.
  3. Use the designated “open lab space” bench if available and avoid disturbing materials that have been set out for class use.
  4. Communicate with your group so that processing and identification activities proceed smoothly, and everyone knows what needs to be done.
  5. Communicate with your instructor or TA if you encounter an issue (run out of materials, need supplies, something breaks, etc.).
  6. You may get stereoscopes out to use during the time you are here but please return them to the cabinet before you leave.
